Helen Hanimann in Switzerland is multitalented. She runs, quilts, knits and writes – and her writing includes a lovely blog which you’ll find here. It’s slightly uncanny – both Helen and I have been accountants and are now freelance editors, and we lived very close to each other for a while in the north east of England. And I like knitting and writing, I do some quilting but I’d much rather cycle than run!

Pip’s Breton blog is well worth a look. Beautiful photos of the surrounding area and of their renovation adventures. Pip sells sock yarn here when she’s not in France.

Conjugating Irregular Verbs is Aidan’s account of her adventures in the South of France.

Would-be writers should take a look at Gutsy Writer. This is Sonia Marsh’s website, where she encourages us all to be gutsy writers like her and seize the day. An inspiring, upbeat and enjoyable blog.
